I was first introduced to the gaming world when I was 8 years old. My mother bought me a Nintendo Entertainment System with 8 games (I was born on the 8th so it was my "golden birthday" and one I'll never forget). I remember staying up until 3am playing Jaws until I finally beat it. I don't know any other 8 year old that could say the same.
I designed my first game when I was 8 as well. It was a tactical RPG I made using LEGOs. I sorted all legs, arms, chests, hands, weapons and armor by type and color and made a chart to list their stats. Then I made a rule set to allow for combat and designed dungeons on the fly using more LEGOs!
When I was 10, I got to play Final Fantasy from a Blockbuster rental. It wasn't until I was 14 that I got to keep the game long enough to beat it. I was hooked! I have played and completed every Final Fantasy game since then including all console and handheld systems (except for FFIX because it was online only... FFX-2 does not exist to me!)
I've been designing RPGs influenced by Dungeons and Dragons, Final Fantasy, and other RPGs for over 20 years. I am a Game Designer. I feel it in my blood. It's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about at night. I even dream about video games and have even turned some of my dreams into game ideas!
I play video games on a regular basis and will NEVER EVER stop playing them! I am a gaming geek!
